Your Health and Theirs

Pets and COVID-19

COVID-19 primarily spreads between people. While some animals can become infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 following close contact with infected people, there is no evidence that pets play a significant role in spreading COVID-19 to people.

If you are concerned that your pet may have been exposed to COVID-19, or your pet is showing signs of illness, contact your veterinary practice for advice.

For the latest information and guidance, please refer to the relevant public health and veterinary authorities.
