Advantage 250 is formulated for the prevention and treatment of flea infestations in dogs weighing between 10 and 25 kilograms. It is also effective for treating biting lice on dogs.

How Advantage Works

Advantage is a trusted flea treatment that prevents and treats flea infestations. It also possesses an environmental larvicidal effect, which aids in controlling the flea lifecycle in the pet's surroundings.

Effectiveness

-Fleas are eliminated within one day following treatment. - A single treatment safeguards dogs from further flea infestation for up to four weeks. - It can be a part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) in dogs, if previously diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon.

Usage Instructions

Repeat treatment after four weeks. - Avoid more frequent treatment than once weekly, even if re-treatment is required.

Re-infestation and Environmental Considerations

•  Re-infestation from emerging new fleas in the environment may persist for six weeks or longer after treatment initiation.
• Depending on the flea level in the environment, multiple treatments may be needed. 
• To assist in reducing environmental challenges, it is recommended to use an appropriate environmental treatment against adult fleas and developing stages. 
• Further reducing the environmental challenge involves treating all cats, dogs, and rabbits in the household.

Effectiveness in Wet Conditions

The product retains its effectiveness even if the animal becomes wet, for instance, after exposure to heavy rain or swimming (for dogs). However, re-treatment may be necessary based on the presence of fleas in the environment. In such cases, do not treat more frequently than once weekly.

Special Considerations

Treating a nursing bitch with Advantage provides protection against fleas for the entire litter. - Advantage can be safely used on puppies from 8 weeks of age.
