Cosecure Lamb Bolus 

A direct to rumen, continuous release nutritional bolus with ionic copper, ionic cobalt, and selenium at levels compatible with the animal’s daily requirements for up to six months.

Designed for use in areas experiencing copper and selenium deficiencies, aiming to enhance cobalt supply in ruminating lambs over 6 weeks old and weighing under 25kg.

Dosage & Administration

• For ruminating lambs over 6 weeks of age and weighing under 25kg body weight, administer 1 bolus.
• Do not dose lambs less than 6 weeks of age and do not administer until the animal is ruminating.
• In smaller breeds, consider delaying dosing until 10 weeks of age
• Ruminating lambs weighing 25kg and more should use the Cosecure Sheep Bolus.
• Consult the product packaging and data sheet for comprehensive dosage and administration details.

Preparation: Remove boluses from the foil pack, ensuring they reach room temperature (15-20oC) before use. Sudden temperature changes may cause fine cracks, affecting bolus activity.

Loading the Applicator: Insert the bolus fully into the applicator head until the push rod engages.

Application: Place the bolus end of the applicator into the lamb's mouth, centering it to the back of the tongue. Squeeze the trigger for easy bolus release. Adjust the gun position if resistance is felt.

Top Tip: Prevent the bolus from falling out by ensuring the flat edge aligns with the ridged edge in the applicator.

Ensure Swallowing: Confirm that the animal swallows the bolus effortlessly. If the reflex is not prompt, adjust your technique to position the bolus correctly at the back of the tongue.
