Other Ways to Help Dental Health in Dogs

Brushing dogs teeth is the gold standard to remove plaque, otherwise pockets between teeth and gums form increasing plaque buildup where plaque can deposit further. This is the first stage of periodontitis and can be reversed by veterinary treatment using descaling and polishing of dogs teeth. Otherwise gums will further recede and roots will become exposed, teeth may become loose and even fall out. If this leads to an advanced stage then it is irreversible.

Using Prozym dental chews and a suitable toothpaste such as Logic Oral Gel will help safeguard dogs teeth and gums.
